This park covers more than 122,000 hectares and contains a wide variety of mosses, ferns, orchids, flowering and evergreen shrubs, cedars, walnut trees, oak trees and much more.

The entire shade growing coffee area is called Peruvian Organic Coffee Ground and it is an environmentally friendly area. There is a commitment at high levels of government and private initiative to certify more than half of all coffee growing areas as ‘specialty coffee.’ This will mean more shade grown coffee which, in turn, will benefit wildlife To achieve this goal, there are programs that encourage farmers to use better technologies, educational programs and training opportunities.
