Where legends now flow and flow
Scattered pieces of the hero’s pyre
(now stacked to reach the sky): here, yes
Here, sing Kuelap stones, Chan Chan,
Cuzco– and the Amazon, sing and sing, like
Bards on windpipes blowing their echoes…!
Here, strings of music sweep into the jungle
And Andes; here, –yes here dwells the city
From the sea fortress of the Andes, built
By the gods with blood and clay, —
Machu Picchu! These are the visions —
Of ecstasies; –sharper than a condor’s
Wings; here, yes, these tales flow
And flow, and sing! — infinitely,

Peru has a lot to offer the adventurous person from: legends from the Amazonas, to Cajamarca, Ancash, Lambayeque, La Libertad, Lima, Ica, Arequipa, Cusco, and Puno; to distant places like Huancayo, Machu Picchu (from Cusco), Kuelap (in the Amazonas), Chan Chan (from Trujillo); and to Huacachina, las Lineas de Nazca, to Tambo Colorado. Most of these places I have been to.
Wherever you go in Peru, you will see legends, and newly discovered discoveries; yes, you become a part of history just by being in Peru. Part of the adventure in Peru is, or can be, trekking on trails; for me it’s more archaeological sites, for others maybe a magical journey with a personal itinerary. Once again my slave is perhaps the ancient legends, and the journey – I want the whole cup of coffee, or the whole bowl of soup, and in Peru you can have it. I hope Peru is still the South American prize – it is right now.

Perú tiene mucho que ofrecer a la persona aventurera desde: leyendas del Amazonas, Cajamarca, Ancash, Lambayeque, La Libertad, Lima, Ica, Arequipa, Cusco y Puno; hasta lugares muy lejanos como Huancayo, Machu Picchu (por Cusco), Kuelap (en El Amazonas), Chan Chan (por Trujillo); the La Huacachina the las Lineas de Nazca, hasta Tambo Colorado. He estado en la majority de estos lugares.
A donde vayas en Perú, encontraras leyendas, a descubrimientos recién hallados; sí, you te haces parte de la historia solamente estando en Perú. Parte de la aventura en Perú es, o puede ser el viaje sobre rutas; for a few arqueológicos sites, para otros quiz es un viaje mágico con un itineraria personal. Otra vez, quizás mi vicio son las leyendas ancestrales, y el viajar – Yo quiero la taza entera de café, o el tazón lleno de sopa, and in Perú tú puedes tenerlo.
